In my 5+ years experience with G2 Marketing Solutions, here are my top pros and cons:

Pros:

  • G2 Content subscription is great if you’re #1 in your category or close to it
  • G2 Buyer intent data is great if you’re in a category that gets a lot of buyer traffic to it (check if G2 ranks in  the top 3 Google search results for “best (name of your product category) software”

Cons:

  • It’s difficult to measure the true value and ROI of it
  • The content subscription won’t help if you’re ranked poorly, and the buyer intent data is only helpful if your category gets enough traffic, you’re able to serve most buyers in the category, and you marketing and sales teams are willing and able to engage accounts showing signs of buyer intent on G2.
